DNA Heritage maintains the free public access Ybase database at ybase.org Family Tree DNA publish a monthly email newsletter, have a comprehensive FAQ and an online library of useful scientific publications. Family Tree DNA operate the free Ysearch public access database at ysearch.org Relative Genetics offer family group indepth analysis and reconstruction services as well as individual and surname testing.
Genetic Genealogy - yDNAWhit Athey's Y-Haplogroup Predictor provides an easy-to-use online tool for estimating haplogroup from Y-haplotype results (uses the numeric results from the testing used in genealogy-related DNA testing such as from FTDNA and DNA Heritage). Y-STR haplotype reference database (YHRD) A collaborative effort to collect population data and to create a large reference database, this interactive database allows you to search for Y-STR haplotypes in various formats and within specified population pools. By this time time Elizabeth Tyson and John R. Hooper were already living in Pope County, they married in 1855. During May 1858 Joel Tyson, brother of Elizabeth Tyson, married Mary Elizabeth Hooper, sister of John Hooper, also in Pope County. Although there is no proof, it's a possibility that the Tysons came by similar means from Tennessee, where Elizabeth Tyson was born in 1839 and her brother Joel Tyson in 1840.
